This is one of those rare places where the photos really don't do it justice! A truly beautiful apartment in a fabulously scenic location, you feel at home from the moment you step inside. Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, with absolutely all the facilities you could possibly need, you feel at home rather than in a holiday let. It has absolutely stunning views across the railway station beneath you, with the hills stretching out as far as you can see, and we were lucky enough not only to be able to lay in bed on a morning looking at those but also to enjoy watching the local family of house martins swooping in and out from their nest! Having the train (there are only 8 a day, so hardly Kings Cross to disturb you!) to jump on literally outside the door was fabulous, and a real treat to be able to leave the car when you wanted too. If you only have one holiday this year, then come here!

Amazing place. In the old Strathcarron station a unique experience. The design of the apartment with attention to detail makes you feel at home and fully enjoy the relaxation and beauty of Scotland.

This is a truly wonderful place to stay - can’t recommend highly enough. Rupert and Lin have done a fantastic job of restoring this historic building, and the apartment is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location would be a great one even if it didn’t also have day trips by train to Plockton and Kyle of Lochalsh right on your doorstep (literally). Everything is exactly as described in the listings, but the photos can’t do justice to the comfort, atmosphere and luxury of staying here. Everything is really well done and thoughtful, and the whole experience is flawless.

We had a fantastic stay in Strathcarron. The beer, jam and milk were great touches that made us feel so welcome. There is a lot of history that's well documented and interesting to read about, it's obvious there has been a lot of care put into making such a great space for people to stay. The amount of information provided about the local area helped us plan out places to see and eat. Highly recommended.

We just loved the Station Master's Flat! It had a wonderful view of the mountains and it was also fun to watch the trains come and go. It was well equipped with every convenience. We hope to come again.

Absolutely superb! Rupert and Lin have really taken efforts to make this place what it is. Attention to detail. Cutely decorated and has more than everything that a guest would need to have a wonderful stay. The apartment is decorated like an old station office which we found to be very cute. Instructions are clear and no scope for any confusion. Well-equipped kitchen with all the classy amenities and lots of goodies. Most important was the delicious mixed fruit jam prepared by Lin. The balcony type that opens towards the platform was very unique. Serene surroundings. We loved our stay. Wonderful and responsive hosts. Thanks a lot!!!

Great hosts. An incredibly charming venue. Nice option for takeout at the bar right next-door. They are very accommodating. Just an absolutely super cool place to stay. Not too far from Lochcarron.

A great week at Rupert and Lin’s unique apartment. The accommodation exceeded expectations both in terms of location and facilities. It is very comfortable and well equipped. Rupert and Lin are extremely responsive and friendly hosts. I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment and hope to return in the future to continue our Munro quest!
